Policy Goal
This policy keeps contributor content useful for readers and prevents manipulative link behavior.
Every contributor-added link is reviewed by the editorial team before publication.
Allowed Links
- Primary-source citations that support factual claims
- Official documentation and standards references
- One relevant personal website link in author bio
- Limited contextually relevant links in article body
Disallowed Links
- Paid or sponsored links without disclosure
- Affiliate links in contributor content
- Irrelevant promotional landing pages
- Private blog network or exchange-based links
- Keyword-stuffed exact-match anchor spam
Link Limits Per Article
- Up to 3 external links in article body by default
- Up to 1 self-promotional domain link in article body
- Up to 1 personal website link in author bio
- Editors may reduce or remove links based on quality and relevance

Rel attributes are assigned by editors, not guaranteed by contributor request.
Anchor Text Rules
- Anchor text must read naturally in context
- Use descriptive phrasing that helps user intent
- Avoid repetitive commercial anchors across posts
- Misleading or clickbait anchor copy is rejected
Enforcement
- Links may be edited, relabeled, or removed at any time
- Violations may result in article rejection or contributor suspension
- Repeated abuse may remove publishing access and author profile visibility
